Lord of the Flies is an adventure story about a group of young boys who are plane wrecked on a coral reef.

Fall television previews in the Times Picayune  write the premise as "It's Lord of the Flies as prequel to "The Surreal Life" as 40 kids are given free reality-TV reign to build their own society in what's billed as a New Mexico ghost town."   Check out the program or follow it on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.  This might turn out to be a real life connection to the novel you are reading.  Discussions on Thursday in class should be lively.  Bring your takes on the topics.  This will certainly cause controversy among the network, parents, and other elements of our society.
