Open Letter to Family Partners

Dear Family Partners,

It is a pleasure to have your child as a student in my class.  This is my fourteenth year at Terrebonne High.

The specific objectives of this class can be found in Comprehensive Curriculum for English IV on the Terrebonne Parish School District website (www.tpsd.org).  This class is designed as a college preparatory curriculum especially since many colleges require British Literature at the freshman and sophomore level. Each quarter we study a different time period and follow chronological order of British Literature from Anglo-Saxon Period to the Modern Period.  Students are also required to read novels outside of the classroom and will have outside reading assignments from time to time.

Since this class is required for graduation and most students have only two classes this semester, it is imperative that you as parents encourage your student to do his or her best work in an efficient and timely manner.  At the beginning of this semester, I sent home class rules and the syllabus; please feel free to contact me at any time.
